Ukraine Reports Recapture of Several Positions in Bakhmut

Ukrainian armed forces have launched a counteroffensive in Bakhmut, managing to regain several positions previously lost. This was reported by the Military Media Center of Ukraine's Territorial Defense Forces, citing the commander of the Eastern Group of Forces, Alexander Syrsky.

“To advance, the enemy is exerting maximum effort and disregarding everything. Despite significant losses, new assault groups from Wagner and other private companies, as well as airborne troops, are regularly being sent into battle. However, the enemy has not succeeded in taking control of the city,” Syrsky stated.

According to the Ukrainian military, the situation in Bakhmut is quite complex. Syrsky emphasized that intense combat operations continue in the direction of Bakhmut.

In addition, he noted that Ukrainian forces have managed to repel Russian attacks in the Lyman direction and have captured 10 Russian servicemen.
