Turkey Must Make a Significant Strategic Decision, Says Greek Prime Minister
The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, addressed the upcoming presidential elections in Turkey, scheduled for May 14, during the 8th Delphi Economic Forum.
According to Ermenihaber.am, during the forum, Financial Times editor Peter Spiegel asked Mitsotakis about the implications for Greek-Turkish relations following the elections, depending on whether Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is re-elected in Turkey or Mitsotakis himself is returned to power in Greece.
In response, Mitsotakis stated, "After the elections, Turkey must make a significant strategic decision" and criticized the memorandum of understanding regarding the maritime boundaries signed between Turkey and Libya.
According to Turkish sources, Greece expects that changes will occur in Turkey's foreign policy following the elections on May 14.
