US Zuni Missiles Arrive in Ukraine

The commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, has published a photograph of a Su-25 aircraft armed with Zuni air-to-surface missiles that the United States had promised to deliver to Ukraine, reports the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.

In early January, Laura Cooper, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, announced that the US would supply Ukraine with four thousand unguided air-to-ground Zuni missiles as part of a new military aid package.

The Pentagon had released a list of weapons that were to be included in the new American military assistance to Ukraine. Previously, Russia had sent a note to NATO countries regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
