Sudanese Army to Extend Ceasefire by 72 Hours
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have agreed to extend the ceasefire for humanitarian purposes by an additional 72 hours, which is set to expire at midnight. This was reported on Thursday by an official spokesperson for the armed forces.
"The SAF agrees to extend the peace for 72 hours from the moment the ceasefire operation ends," stated a declaration published on the army's official Facebook page.
The Sudanese Armed Forces expressed hope that "the rebels will adhere to the conditions of peace," despite reports of attempts to attack certain targets by the rebels, as noted by the army.
