Investors Sue Adidas

Investors have filed a lawsuit against Adidas, claiming that the company was aware of Kanye West's problematic behavior years before ending their collaboration with the rapper. This was reported by the BBC.

The investors assert that Adidas failed to mitigate financial losses and did not take precautions to minimize the risks involved.

In response, Adidas stated, "We categorically deny these baseless allegations." The company added that it would "take all necessary measures to defend against them." West is not a party to the lawsuit. The rapper had developed an extremely successful line of athletic shoes under the Yeezy brand for Adidas.

The sportswear giant terminated its partnership with the rapper last year due to his anti-Semitic comments. In October of the previous year, when the company ended the collaboration, it stated, "Adidas does not tolerate anti-Semitism and any other kind of hate." It further noted, "Ye's recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company's values." Nevertheless, the investors, who have filed a lawsuit against the company in the U.S., claim that Adidas was aware of West's questionable behavior before beginning the collaboration with him.
