We Have 4 Options: Davit Babayan
"In general, even if there were no Azerbaijani representation there, those so-called 'eco-activists' would still leave, because the blockade would not be lifted, since a checkpoint has already been set up near the Hakari Bridge, lamenting Artsakh. This is a barrier that closes the entry and exit to Artsakh. But they chose a more detrimental path, an even more humiliating one for Russia. What does it mean to stop humanitarian shipments, especially for a peacekeeping mission? We indeed have very serious demands for answers to a number of questions. These are key questions whose answers should be provided very soon. Because what does it mean to allow anyone to come there? The basis for Azerbaijan's behavior might be two things: either someone from outside has given them strong backing and is telling them not to be afraid of anything, to act as they please; that might be Turkey, or I don’t know, other countries. The second possibility is that it is negligence, just blind eyes being turned."
These comments were made by Davit Babayan, an advisor to the President of Artsakh, during an interview concerning the situation in Artsakh and questions regarding the future.
"We have 4 options. It is very difficult, but I must say: one is maintaining the status quo of the situation, if the peacekeepers fully execute their duties, let's see what happens next. The second could lead to genocide if Azerbaijan achieves its goals. The third is a mass exodus of the people from Artsakh, refusing Azerbaijan's demands, and finally, there is struggle. We need to make all calculations, take and grasp every opportunity, and see what we do, but these are the 4 options, and nothing exists beyond these 4 options," the official added.
