Video: Major Fire in One of Turkey's Elite Buildings

A major fire has broken out in a luxury residential complex in the Yenikale district of Izmir, according to CNN Türk. The Ministry of Health has reported seven injured individuals.

Izmir Governor Selim Koysgar arrived at the emergency site and confirmed that all residents of the building have been evacuated. He also stated that there is no risk of the fire spreading to other buildings.

The head of Turkey's Ministry of Health, Fahrettin Koca, mentioned on his Twitter account that seven people have been injured due to the fire. According to him, six of them suffered from smoke inhalation, while one person has a leg injury.

Firefighting crews from Ankara and Aydın have been dispatched, along with helicopters, to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Izmir Mayor Tunç Soyer elaborated that the firefighting process is complicated due to the building's wooden facades.

Reports indicate that sounds of explosions have been heard from the burning building, causing residents of nearby houses to evacuate.
