Two US Military Helicopters Crash in Alaska: Casualties Reported
Two AH-64 Apache military helicopters of the United States Air Force have crashed in Alaska. This was reported by the AP agency, citing a representative from the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
Later, the Washington Post reported that three pilots on board the helicopters were killed. The helicopters were returning to the Fort Wainwright base after a training flight when they crashed near the village of Healy. It has been reported that each helicopter had two people on board.
Rescue teams are on the scene, and an investigation is underway.
