Iran's Defense Minister Discusses Military Cooperation with India

Iran's Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani has spoken about strengthening bilateral cooperation with India, as reported by Irna.

It was noted that the Iranian minister invited the Indian naval forces to participate in the joint military exercises of the 'Maritime Security Belt', which are held annually by Iran, China, and Russia.

During a meeting in New Delhi with India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Ashtiani characterized the relations between the two countries as friendly and respectful.

The Iranian Defense Minister stated that only through cooperation can they confront shared security challenges and threats at regional and global levels. He declared that Iran is ready to expand and strengthen defense and military cooperation with the Indian armed forces.
