Responsible Individuals for Weapon Storage to Be Appointed in Schools

The procedure for providing training weapons to educational institutions for the purpose of initial military training has been approved. According to a government decision, responsible individuals for weapon storage will be appointed in schools (presumably the initial military training teacher or the principal).

The regulation states that a training weapon is defined as an item that cannot be repaired or made operational and suitable for firing. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia will be responsible for accounting the required quantity of training weapons and will submit an application to the Ministry of Defense at the beginning of each academic year. The Ministry of Defense will, in turn, provide the weapons from the local departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
