I See That Russia Either Cannot or Does Not Wish to Restrain Azerbaijan: Khachaturyan
Since November 9, Azerbaijan has been repeatedly violating its commitments, resorting to various provocations and remaining unpunished. All its audacious actions are met with Russia's tacit approval. This was stated by Vigen Khachaturyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' party, in an interview with NEWS.am, commenting on Azerbaijan's recent placement of a checkpoint on the Hakari Bridge.
'Those who have committed to guarantee the security there are present with military force—namely, Russia. I see that Russia either cannot or does not wish to restrain Azerbaijan. They understand very well that at this moment Armenia does not have sufficient military capabilities to prevent these provocations through force and are taking advantage of that,' he said.
