Alexander Volkov to Be Replaced by Alexander Lentsov
Aleksandr Volkov will be replaced by Aleksandr Lentsov, who holds the rank of Colonel-General. This has been reported by ‘Hayrapet’.
“He is 67 years old and served as the Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of Russia until 2020, participating in military operations in Syria. In 2020, he was appointed as an advisor to the Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu and is one of Shoigu’s most trusted individuals. He is coming to the region, so to speak, to stabilize the situation,” the article states.
Earlier reports had indicated that the Russian authorities decided to recall Alexander Volkov, the commander of Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh.
