Srbouhi Galyan on Over 30 Cases of Confiscation of Illegally Obtained Property

Currently, there are over 30 lawsuits regarding the confiscation of illegally obtained property in court.

During a conversation with reporters in Tsitsernakaberd, Srbouhi Galyan, the Deputy Prosecutor General responsible for overseeing functions related to the confiscation of illegally obtained property, provided this information.

She emphasized that there have been no court rulings on high-profile cases so far, as they are all still in the trial phase. “At present, we have over 30 lawsuits in court, and hearings for those cases are taking place. The media can come and clarify these cases; we also want the public to be informed about the progress of these cases. The Prosecutor's Office is doing everything possible; we have deadlines and are operating within those limits,” Galyan noted.

When asked whether there is an investigation at the Prosecutor's Office concerning the assets of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, the prosecutor stressed that she cannot disclose which cases are under investigation, as confidentiality must be maintained in accordance with established law.
