Video: Large-Scale Protests Occur Again in Israel

Protests against government judicial reforms are taking place once again in Tel Aviv, according to a correspondent from RIA Novosti. The central streets of the city are blocked, and police are stationed at the protest sites.

Mass spontaneous protests against the judicial reforms of Benjamin Netanyahu's government have been ongoing for the sixteenth consecutive week in Israel. This Saturday, protests were held in Haifa, Ashdod, Beersheba, and other major cities across Israel.

Netanyahu announced the suspension of the legislative process for the judicial reforms at the end of March to negotiate with opponents and reach a compromise. Further discussions on the reforms in parliament will begin during the Knesset's summer session. However, the organizers of the protests have pledged to continue organizing demonstrations as long as the controversial legislation, which allows the coalition to control judicial appointments, is not completely rescinded, fearing it may be put to a fast vote.
