VIDEO: Major Fire at Plastic and Rubber Recycling Plant in Russia

A major fire broke out this morning in the Lyubertsy district of Moscow. The blaze occurred at a plastic and rubber recycling plant, according to local media reports referencing the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"The plastic and rubber recycling plant in Lyubertsy is on fire. Neighboring buildings are not at risk," the statement noted.

As seen in footage, smoke from the fire is visible from almost the entire city. The area affected by the fire has covered 1500 square kilometers.

To extinguish the fire, 11 vehicles and 38 firefighters have been deployed.
