Armenia Submits Objections to The Hague Court in Azerbaijan v. Armenia Case

Today, Armenia's representative on international legal matters, Yeghishe Kirakosyan, presented the preliminary objections of the Republic of Armenia to the International Court of Justice in the case of Azerbaijan v. Armenia. This information was provided by the office of Armenia's representative on international legal matters.

It is noteworthy that the case is being examined within the framework of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

The preliminary objections presented on behalf of the Republic of Armenia relate to the comprehensive application lodged by Azerbaijan. Kirakosyan’s objections are supported by facts arguing the lack of the Court's jurisdiction regarding most of the claims presented in Azerbaijan's application, indicating their inadmissibility.

The Court has suspended the substantive examination of the case pending a decision on the preliminary objections submitted by Armenia.
