Armenian Ministry of Defense on the Situation Near Tegh Village: Media

The work on clarifying positions in the Tegh village area of the Syunik region is still ongoing, according to the Armenian Ministry of Defense in response to a query from Sputnik Armenia.

“The work on clarifying the deployment points of positions in the given area is currently continuing,” the ministry stated.

When asked by the media how many square kilometers of territory have come under Azerbaijani control near Tegh village, the ministry did not provide a response.

It is noteworthy that on March 30, 2023, the National Security Service of Armenia announced the advancement of Azerbaijani Armed Forces in 5 areas of the road section connecting Armenia to the Lachin corridor. At that time, the National Security Service had reported violations of agreements by Azerbaijan, noting that Baku had begun engineering work without waiting for clarifications.

Subsequently, an agreement was reached for the cartographers of the two countries to regulate the situation.

On April 11, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that Azerbaijani subdivisions had opened fire towards soldiers conducting engineering works in the direction of Tegh village. Four individuals from the Armenian side were killed, and six were wounded.
