Video: The Academic City is One of the Most Important Projects, Says Minister of Education

During the discussion on the report regarding the implementation process and results of the "Government Program of the Republic of Armenia (2021-2026)" in the National Assembly, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan addressed the construction of the Academic City.

According to the minister, the Academic City is one of the most important projects that the state and the ministry will carry out. It is expected to accommodate 44,000 students and faculty.

"It will consist of three clusters: the first cluster will be related to arts and will be located in the area of 'Armenian Film'. The second one, at the site of the Artashat Physical Culture Institute, will be the technological cluster, and we expect the third to be connected to military and educational sectors," detailed the minister.

She noted that currently, work is underway to establish a foundation for the Academic City, which will later manage the educational city. The preliminary version of the concept for the educational city is expected to be approved by September.
