Aliyev: 'The Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh Must Either Accept Azerbaijani Citizenship or Find Other Places to Live'
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh must either accept Azerbaijani citizenship or find other places to live.
“We have repeatedly stated that we will not discuss our internal affairs with any country. Nagorno-Karabakh is our internal matter,” said the authoritarian leader of Azerbaijan. According to him, Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh must either accept Azerbaijani citizenship or find a new residence. He also mentioned, “There is complete freedom here, all democratic foundations are being offered, and this issue must be resolved based on human rights.”
It is worth noting that Azerbaijani “eco-activists” have blocked the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia and the world for 128 days.
