Ukraine reports unprecedented bloody battles in Bakhmut. Kyiv insists that its forces are maintaining control of the city, while Russia claims to have made advancements in the once major industrial hub, according to Euronews.
The Ukrainian armed forces plan to send 80,000 fighters to the Bakhmut area to prevent Russian troops from encircling the city.
According to statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian troops are virtually encircled in the western outskirts of Bakhmut, with Wagner militants having taken control of three-quarters of the city’s territory.
