Iran and Azerbaijan Have Enemies: Kanani

During his weekly press conference on Monday, Nasser Kanani described Iran as a country with countless capabilities and potential. He stated that Iran will continue on the path of developing relations with all countries willing to establish friendly ties with Iran based on the principles of mutual respect and common interests, referring to the Tehran-Riyadh agreement.

Kanani also asserted that Israel is to blame for the deterioration of relations between the Islamic Republic and Azerbaijan. “Iran and Azerbaijan have enemies, and the Zionist regime (Israel) is one of the foes of these two Muslim countries,” Kanani said. He added that creating division and instability and inciting disputes is the approach of the “Zionist regime” towards Iran-Azerbaijan relations and relations between Islamic countries.
