Yerevan's Transport System to Have 4 Ticketing Options
The process of implementing a unified ticketing system has begun in Yerevan, which will feature 4 ticketing options. This information was provided by the Yerevan City Hall.
Specifically, there will be a QR code option, allowing people to purchase and validate tickets either via a paper version or an app. Other methods include bank cards, MIFARE reusable cards, and a corresponding mobile application.
It is noted that drivers will work daily, earning 29,000 AMD per day. Gradually, lines will be introduced with 150 new 8.6m "Zhong Tong" brand buses.
As a reminder, yesterday, the first batch of new 12-meter German "MAN" buses was put into service. These buses will service the new bus route No. 1, connecting Ajapnyak with Kanaker-Zeytun. Each bus has the capacity to carry 25 seated and 80 standing passengers.
The 14 new 8.6m "Zhong Tong" buses will also enhance and serve the existing bus route No. 58 connecting Avan with Erebuni.
