VIDEO: Anti-Government Protests in Central Prague
Anti-government protests are taking place in the center of Prague, specifically in Wenceslas Square. This has been reported by ria.ru, referencing the Czech news outlet Idnes.
The protests, organized under the slogan “Czech Republic Against Poverty,” have been initiated by the newly formed “Rights, Respect, Professionalism” (PUP) party. The event commenced at 14:00 local time, with approximately 30,000 to 35,000 attendees, many of whom traveled from remote regions of the republic.
The purpose of the action is to draw the government’s attention to the rapid deterioration of the financial situation of ordinary citizens, who have recently been affected by rising prices of energy, food, fuel, and services.
