Ukrainian Army Shells Donetsk on Easter Night: One Dead and Several Wounded
The Ukrainian army shelled Donetsk on Easter night, resulting in one death and six injuries. This information was reported by the acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, on his Telegram channel.
“On Easter morning, while the parishioners were at the service, the enemy struck the center of Donetsk, near the Cathedral of the Holy Assumption. Currently, one death and six injuries have been reported,” he stated.
Pushilin also mentioned that a fire broke out in a kindergarten due to the shelling. Additionally, significant damage was reported at the Closed Market, nearby shops, and a pharmacy.
According to the DPR's representation at the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes in Ukraine, the Ukrainian forces fired six rounds of 155mm “NATO” caliber shells toward the Kyiv and Kuibyshev districts of Donetsk.
It was noted that during the night, Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk four times, hitting the city’s Voroshilov, Kuibyshev, Kirov, and Kyiv districts.
