Isabella Yahilyan Wins Minor Bronze Medal at European Weightlifting Championships

At the ongoing European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan, Isabella Yahilyan secured a minor bronze medal. For her first attempt, our athlete ordered 90 kg, but later changed it to 87 kg. The first attempt was unsuccessful. The same happened in the second attempt. Only in the third attempt did Isabella manage to lift the ordered weight overhead, avoiding a zero, and won a bronze medal in the snatch event.

From the preliminary orders submitted in the competitions, it was clear that Isabella Yahilyan would be competing for medals, as her initial order was the highest in this weight category at 210 kg. Of course, this is just a preliminary order; to achieve results, it must be confirmed with lifted kilograms.

On April 17, Armenia's Gor Sahakyan will take to the stage, competing in the 67 kg weight class for medals at the European Championships. The Armenian weightlifter's preliminary order in the combined total is the highest, thus we will be eagerly following our athlete's performances with hopes for medals.

It should be noted that about 400 athletes from 40 countries have registered for the European Weightlifting Championships, which runs from April 15 to 23. Additionally, Aleksandra Grigoryan placed 7th in her event.
