Prigozhin Proposes Ending the War

Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the private military company Wagner, has proposed an end to the war in Ukraine, stating that its objectives have been achieved. He argues that a prolonged conflict may lead to Russia's collapse.

This information was published on Telegram, with a link available in the “Кепка Пригожина” channel, where his press service responds to media inquiries. According to reports from lrt.lt, it is claimed that a lengthy war lacks support among the Russian elite.

“Many of those who supported the special operation yesterday now question or are outright against everything that is happening,” Prigozhin writes, adding that “they want to urgently return to their normal lives, old habits, and comforts.”

He noted that Russia has cut off a significant portion of the Sea of Azov and Black Sea and has captured a “juicy piece” of Ukrainian territory while establishing land connections with Crimea.

“Now, one thing remains—to deepen our foothold and cling to those territories which we already hold,” Prigozhin added.

As Prigozhin writes, an impending assault by the Ukrainian army could result in a breakthrough along the front lines. “In this case, the Russian army, which has considered itself one of the best in the world for years, may initially experience a downturn in morale, and the situation could then degrade,” Prigozhin warns.
