New Route for Bus No. 1 Begins Operation in Yerevan

New route for Bus No. 1 will begin operation in Yerevan starting today. This was announced by Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan on his Facebook page.

“The No. 1 route will connect Ajapnyak with Kanaker-Zeitoun, passing through the Center,” he wrote.

The Deputy Mayor also informed that starting today, the route of Bus No. 58 will be restored, running from the Avan administrative district to the Erebuni administrative district.

It should be noted that during the Yerevan City Council's operational meeting on April 3, it was announced that Bus No. 58 will be serviced by Chinese 'Zhongtong' brand buses.

Additionally, the Yerevan city administration had reported that around 40 newly imported buses will be put into service starting April 15. Another 110 buses are expected to be operational by the beginning of May.
