Engineering Work Resumes in Tegh Village Following Azerbaijani Provocation
Engineering work has resumed in Tegh village of Syunik Province following the Azerbaijani provocation on April 11 that claimed the lives of four servicemen. Aram Hovsepyan, a member of the Tegh municipal council, shared this information during a conversation with NEWS.am.
“We are working from our side, and they are from theirs, just as it was before the incident. Construction work is being carried out right at the site where the shooting took place. The Ministry of Defense is correct that we have not suffered positional losses due to the provocation, but the area where Azerbaijanis have been established for several weeks is undoubtedly our land,” Hovsepyan stated.
He noted that normal life continues in the village. No families have left the village, nor are they planning to do so.
It is noteworthy that gunfire was reported yesterday in the border village of Tegh. Azerbaijani Armed Forces servicemen approached Armenian Armed Forces personnel conducting engineering work and opened fire on Armenian servicemen. According to the Defense Ministry's statement, the Armenian side has not incurred positional losses. However, the Armenian side has four casualties and six injuries as a result of the exchange of fire.
