Wagner Group Destroys 38,000 Fighters Supporting Ukraine: Prigozhin
The Wagner Group has reportedly destroyed 38,000 fighters supporting Kyiv, with 32,000 of these losses occurring in Soledar, Bakhmut, and surrounding areas, according to Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin.
“As for the casualties, we began military operations on March 19, 2022. Our estimate of the number of enemy destroyed from the first day of hostilities until now stands at... 38,000 dead, with 32,000 of those in Bakhmut, Soledar, and its surroundings during the blockade of Bakhmut,” Prigozhin stated in a message shared on his press service's Telegram channel.
Bakhmut is located north of the large city of Horlivka and is a crucial transport hub for supplying the Ukrainian army in the Donbas region. Intense fighting has been ongoing outside the city for more than six months.
