VIDEO: "There will be continuous drought; even if we have a revolution, the amount of water will not increase". Pashinyan
“Not only in Armenia but throughout the world, there will be continuous drought thereafter. Water will be continuously decreasing,” stated Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
“I am surprised by the approach that the year ends somehow, we roll it over, and then starting from late February, we sit down and look at the sky to see if more rain will come or not, whether there will be more water or not. Let’s establish that there is no need to look at the sky.”
“All forecasts have been made; there will be less water than every year, and no matter what we do—block roads, have a revolution—this is a case where the amount of water will not increase. I do not understand our everyday attitude, starting from street fountains. Faucets need to be installed. Water conservation must happen every day—in households, in industry, in fish farming, in agriculture. If we do not implement new technologies for irrigation and water conservation, we will face serious problems that are beyond our capacity to solve,” he added.
