Armenian Company Included in US Sanctions Package
An Armenian company has been included in the latest US sanctions. According to the website of the US federal registry, the country's Department of Commerce has listed Tako LLC from Armenia among the sanctioned entities.
The reason for the imposition of restrictions is cited as "circumventing export controls and attempting to obtain or procurement of US-origin goods in support of the Russian military and/or defense-industrial base."
Overall, the sanctions list includes organizations from Russia, China, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Malta, Singapore, Spain, Syria, and Turkey. Previously, in September 2022, the US Department of the Treasury had already imposed sanctions on TACO LLC (ՏԱԿՈ ՍՊԸ) from Armenia. The agency's announcement indicated that the company is connected to the Russian firm "РАДИОАВТОМАТИКА".
Additionally, in November 2022, the US Department of the Treasury included Milur Electronics LLC in the sanctions list, which operates in Armenia.
