HRAO Servicemen Conduct Artillery 'Carousel'
The servicemen of the Southern Military District of Armenia (HRAO) have conducted an artillery 'carousel', during which reconnaissance measures were implemented, maneuvers performed in combat, cover operations practiced, and deceptive actions with artillery equipment against a conditional enemy were applied.
"Artillery destroyed individual and group targets located at distances of 1-15 km, utilizing navigation devices, ballistic systems, compasses, and skills of modern communication means. Fire execution tasks were also performed under conditions of limited visibility with direct aiming.
The localization of conditional enemy targets, as well as the conduct of fire towards rapidly moving and stationary targets during the tactical landing of the enemy in mountainous conditions, was carried out in cooperation with UAV calculations," the press service reports.
It is also noted that the personnel of the military aviation at the HRAO base provided fire support to motorized rifle units.
More than 120 servicemen from the flight and engineering-technical personnel participated in the training flights, and around 20 units of military and special equipment were involved, including Mi-8MTV-5 and Ka-52 helicopters of the army aviation.
