44-Day War's Primary Target Was Armenia, Says Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed the view that the primary target of the 44-day war was not Nagorno-Karabakh. 'The primary target of the 44-day war was Armenia, its independence, and sovereignty,' he stated.
According to Pashinyan, following the recent attack on the Armenian Armed Forces, it was announced that the government should resign immediately. 'At least they could say, let's assume these events pass, then. But no, they are saying, resign now, so that if it turns out that there is some management of the situation, that won't happen either. This is the behavior of a fifth column, and yes, our special services need to pay attention to all this,' he added.
Pashinyan also addressed the behavior of certain military personnel during the war, stating, 'We have a situation where a high-ranking military officer has instilled panic in the troops and has ordered his subordinate to ensure that everyone abandons their positions and retreats. When the facts are laid out, he says, 'I am guilty, I accept my guilt.' I wonder if he is an agent recruited by another country.'
