‘The Heart Was Wounded’: Husband of Woman Who Threw Umbrella at Pashinyan Speaks Out
Yesterday in the Vayots Dzor region, the woman who threw an umbrella at the Prime Minister does not regret her action and does not intend to apologize. This was stated by her husband, Suren Zakaryan, in an interview with Aravot.am.
“The heart was wounded, I was irritable; three years is not a short time. We went out this past August, and the heart was shattered again. I spoke with the Prime Minister, said what needed to be said, but I showed no signs of dissatisfaction; I held myself back. My wife was not allowed to come and talk because they knew she was emotional,” Zakaryan said.
According to him, at this stage, neither he nor his wife will be speaking about the incident, citing a defensive strategy. “The lawyer said, ‘Do not give any interviews while the investigation is ongoing,’” he added.
