It’s Not the First Time Azerbaijanis Cross into Armenian Territory: MP from the ruling party

It’s not the first time that Azerbaijanis have crossed into Armenian territory; there have been many similar cases in the past. This was stated by Vaqarshak Hakobyan, a member of the ruling Armenian Revolutionary Federation faction in an interview with 24news.am.

“We are dealing with a situation where Azerbaijanis have appeared on Armenian territory. One has been captured, and if another exists, they will be apprehended. It cannot be said that this is an exception; this is happening for the first time. As far as I know, there have been many recorded cases from Artsakh where individuals crossed the border, were captured, and were sent back. I do not think we should regard this case as exceptional.”

He emphasized that law enforcement and the NSS should evaluate the situation. “I cannot say what scale of obstacles may arise and what risks are present. I envision the resolution of the issue only as a result of addressing the matters of demarcation and delimitation,” he added.
