Ceiling Collapse in One of Yerevan's Schools

On April 10, at 10:25 AM, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call reporting a part of the ceiling in one of the classrooms on the third floor of Mushegh Ishkhanyan Secondary School, located at 107 Pavstos Buzand Street in Yerevan, had collapsed. There is a risk of another section falling, and the assistance of rescuers is needed.

A rescue team from the Special Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a 2 square meter layer of plaster had collapsed from the ceiling of a classroom (approximately 33 square meters), and there is a danger of further collapse. Fortunately, there are no reported injuries.

It was advised that classes should not be conducted in the affected classroom. Information about the incident has been forwarded to the Yerevan Municipality and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
