Armenian Athletes to Participate in European Championship in Turkey

The Armenian senior gymnastics team is currently in Antalya, Turkey, where the European Championship will commence tomorrow.

Traveling to the venue are team members Harutyun Merdinyan, Arthur Davtyan, Vahagn Davtyan, Arthur Avetisyan, and Gagik Khachikyan. The Armenian team is coached by Sos Sargsyan and Hayk Nazaryan. Hakob Serobyan and Arthur Gyurjinyan are also part of the judging panel for the championship.

The European Senior Championship will take place from April 11-16. It is worth noting that Armenian young gymnasts previously won 2 gold and 1 silver medals at the Youth World Championship held in Turkey. Hamlet Manukyan, a double winner at the Youth World Championship, excelled in the pommel horse and rings events.

Another representative of Armenia, Mamikon Khachatryan, earned a silver medal in the pommel horse event with a score of 14.100. In the team standings, the Armenian team secured 4th place.
