Video: Close Windows and Doors as Toxic Smoke Cloud Forms in Germany
A toxic smoke cloud has formed in the German city of Hamburg following a major fire in the Rothenburgerstraße district, as reported by Spiegel magazine.
According to the source, two warehouses are ablaze. Residents in the affected area have been warned that they may be harmed by "gases and chemical components present in the air." They are urged to close their windows and doors, as well as turn off ventilation and air conditioning.
The official warning issued describes the fire and smoke as posing an "extreme danger." Local radio station NDR reports that preliminary data suggests a hydrogen sulfide leak is involved.
