Is Ukraine a Priority for Chinese Diplomacy? Macron Responds

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the European security architecture, which has been discussed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, cannot exist as long as conflicts like the one in Ukraine are ongoing in Europe. The situation was reported by RIA Novosti.

Recall that the French president, along with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, made a state visit to China this week to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The situation in Ukraine has become one of the main topics in discussions among political leaders.

According to Macron, China shares the same view as France regarding the events in Ukraine. “Is Ukraine a priority for Chinese diplomacy? Perhaps not. But this dialogue allows us to soften the comments we heard from China regarding Russia,” added the French leader.
