Eduard Bagrintsev Announces He Has Received Armenian Citizenship and Will Play for the National Team

Eduard Bagrintsev, a player for the Slovak second league club Dubnica, has announced that he has received Armenian citizenship and will compete for the Armenian national team, as reported by armsport.am citing Metaratings.

“In November, I applied for an Armenian passport. Today, I received a call from the Armenian Football Federation, informing me that my passport is ready. Soon I will receive the Armenian passport and will be ready to make my debut with the national team. I am very happy and eagerly waiting for this moment,” said the 20-year-old Bagrintsev.

Bagrintsev is a graduate of CSKA Moscow. He made his debut with the main team in 2021, playing in the Russian Cup match between Zenit and Izhevsk. He has played six matches for the Russian youth national team, scoring two goals. Last September, the player transferred from CSKA to a team in Slovakia's second division. Bagrintsev has made 11 appearances for Dubnica, contributing one goal and one assist.
