Video: It is known which routes the new buses will serve

The head of the Transport Department of the Yerevan City Hall, Hayk Sargsyan, has announced that several routes are set to be operational from April 12 to 15. 'Route number 67 will be served by small-class buses and will connect the Shengavit and Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts. The starting point will be Nerkhin Charbakh, and the final destination will be the 'Astghik' medical center. The route will pass through the new bridge on Shirak-Babajanyan streets.

Route number 40 will connect the Nor-Nork, Kanaker-Zeytun, and Arabkir administrative districts.

Route number 1, the main route, will be served by 18 high-class 12-meter buses, connecting the Ajapnyak, Kentron, and Kanaker-Zeytun districts.

During the same period, the following changes are anticipated: Route 58 will be serviced by 18 buses of the 'Zhong Tong' brand. There will be some specific modifications in the route, bypassing General Nver Safaryan street, connecting the Avan Arinj, Avan, Arabkir, Kentron, and Erebuni administrative districts.

Route number 97 will be supplemented with 4 new vehicles, and its final stop will be extended to Nubarashen.

According to Sargsyan, about 40 of the newly imported buses will be put into operation by April 15. Starting in early May, it is planned to replace route 18, route 13 for minivans, and route 47 with 14 vehicles. A total of 18 high-class buses will be put into operation to serve 9 main routes.

Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan spoke about the need to clear bus stops of taxi vehicles. According to him, large buses will be in operation now, and it is necessary to free the stops of cars.
