Azerbaijani Businessman Killed in Turkey

An Azerbaijani businessman has been killed in Turkey. The incident occurred in the Yenimahalle neighborhood of the Turkish capital, Ankara. A dispute arose between 30-year-old Azerbaijani Shamil Khalidi, who was engaged in the sale of tobacco products, and his business partner Ahmet Dikbash. Local media reports have indicated that during the altercation, A. Dikbash shot Shamil with a pistol.

The injured man attempted to flee and hide in one of the vegetable shops, but Ahmet Dikbash pursued him and fired three additional shots at his heart. The Azerbaijani businessman was taken to the hospital, where he died without regaining consciousness.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the motive for the murder was a disagreement over the division of profits between the business partners.
