Krasnodar Authorities Decide to Officially Ban Foreign Language Signage

Krasnodar authorities have decided to officially ban foreign language signage.

In February, Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov expressed dissatisfaction with the large number of signs in English during a city street inspection. The mayor has decided to localize them, stating that everything seems “somehow unpatriotic” at this time.

In March, Krasnodar authorities announced public hearings to change regulations for improvements. They aim to restrict the use of foreign language signage.
