Attempts to Convince Azerbaijanis to Withdraw Slightly from Tegh Community Prove Fruitless: 'Hraparak'
In the entire border area of the Tegh community, negotiations have taken place between representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides with the participation of representatives from the Russian peacekeeping forces, but they have yielded no results. This was reported by 'Hraparak,' citing its own sources.
According to our source, the Director of the National Security Service, Armen Abazyan, was also present in Syunik. Efforts were made to convince the Azerbaijanis to withdraw slightly from the positions they seized the previous day, at least to the area around the Friendship Monument, where preliminary agreements are said to have existed. However, the negotiations were fruitless, and Azerbaijani forces continue to entrench themselves in the gardens located just a few meters away from the Tegh community.
The report mentions that on March 31, there was even hand-to-hand combat between Armenian and Azerbaijani soldiers, despite the fact that no Armenian positions have been stationed in the Tegh community since 2020, with only one or two Russian peacekeepers' checkpoints in the area.
Nevertheless, according to the report, the Ministry of Defense has belatedly taken steps to deploy dozens of soldiers in that area.
