Artsakh Interior Ministry Responds to Claims About Open Road to Armenia
The narrative circulating on social networks that the road connecting Artsakh to Armenia is open as of today does not reflect reality. This information has been confirmed by the police of the Artsakh Interior Ministry.
“Since December 12, 2022, Azerbaijan has blocked the only road connecting Shushi to the outside world. Artsakh has been under blockade for 111 days, facing numerous difficulties and humanitarian issues arising from the closed route.
Currently, humanitarian supplies to Artsakh can only be carried out via the Stepanakert-Berdadzor-Kornidzor-Goris route, facilitated by Russian peacekeepers and the International Committee of the Red Cross. Travel to and from Armenia remains unpredictably dangerous as long as Azerbaijani pseudo-environmentalists and military personnel occupy the Shushi area,” the statement emphasizes.
We urge everyone not to fall for false information and to follow only official news sources.
