Ukraine Will Not Participate in Competitions Involving Russians

“Ukrainian teams will boycott any competitions where athletes from aggressor countries participate. This decision was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine,” announced Oleg Nemchinov, a minister in the Ukrainian government, during a national television marathon.

The decision applies to all international competitions, including the qualification rounds for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

“At the government meeting, a resolution was adopted stating that we will participate in qualifying competitions only where there are no Russians. Therefore, participation outside of these criteria could serve as a basis for federations to lose national status,” said Nemchinov.
