71-Year-Old Man Stabs His 69-Year-Old Brother
On March 30, at 01:35 AM, the police station in Shengavit received a report from a hospital that an ambulance had transported a 69-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen from Sevana Street. An operational group was dispatched to the hospital.
According to the account given by the 71-year-old brother of the injured man, the wound was sustained due to a fall onto an electric heater at his place of work. However, through operational investigative measures and criminal actions conducted by the police in Yerevan and Shengavit, a different story emerged. Around 1 AM, the brothers had an argument at the workplace, during which the older brother stabbed the younger one.
Thanks to explanatory work, the 71-year-old man presented himself to the investigative division and provided a confession. The knife has been seized. A criminal case has been initiated.
