VIDEO: Former Deputy Sentenced to 10 Months of Community Service for Hitting Child and Leaving the Scene

The International Court has found former deputy Sergey Mamontov from the Tatar Region of Novosibirsk guilty and sentenced him to 10 months of community service for hitting a child with his vehicle and leaving the accident scene. This information was reported by the head of the Novosibirsk Regional Court Department to TASS.

Notably, many people are dissatisfied with this penalty and consider the decision to be ridiculous.

It has been reported that the Novosibirsk deputy lost his mandate following the unfortunate incident with the child. Previously, the prosecution had requested community service, while the defense sought to limit the punishment to a fine. The victim did not have any material claims against Mamontov, as they received 1 million rubles as compensation.
