No Issues Threatening Human Life Identified: Food Safety Authority Responds to Rosselkhoznadzor
In connection with the statement from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) regarding the export of dairy products from Armenia to Russia, we would like to inform that the Food Safety Authority has not identified any issues threatening human life and health.
Dairy production facilities, as well as the entire food production chain, are properly monitored by the relevant regulatory body of Armenia, in accordance with the functions assigned by legal acts. This information is reported by the Food Safety Authority.
The concerns mentioned in the publication relate exclusively to the chain of importing raw materials from the Islamic Republic of Iran, using these materials in dairy production in Armenia, and exporting to the Russian Federation.
It is noted that the volumes of dairy product supplies to the Russian market from Armenia have increased compared to the same period last year.
The arising issues are being discussed with the Russian side, and additional information will be provided regarding the results.
Earlier, it was reported that Rosselkhoznadzor would examine the issue of imposing restrictions on dairy imports from Armenia due to poor monitoring of restrictive measures and violations by the Armenian side.
