Fire Erupts at Migration Center Near US Border, Leaving At Least 35 Dead
At least 35 migrants have died due to a fire that broke out at a migration center in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, near the US border. This is reported by the Excelsior newspaper.
“At least 35 migrants lost their lives as a result of the fire in the National Migration Institute (INM) center in Ciudad Juarez. Approximately 100 others have been poisoned by carbon monoxide, with some in serious condition,” the report states.
It has been revealed that the fire occurred in a detention facility for migrants attempting to cross the Mexico-US border illegally.
